The Department of International Affairs will be happy to support you before, during, and after your stay as a research fellow or staff member, e.g. by providing a passport service for your residence permit.
Funding Opportunities
At Freie Universität Berlin, there are various short- and long-term funding programs for postdocs, international fellows, and international projects. Please contact your colleagues at the various institutes to plan your stay and apply for funding. The network "Academics in Solidarity" offers support to displaced and vulnerable academics through mentoring, academic counseling, systematic network building, and funding for small research projects. The German Academic Exchange Service has a scholarship database (both DAAD and other organizations) for foreign students, graduates and postdocs.
