CfA: Institute of Korean Studies, the Korea-Europe Programme Postdoc-Fellowships

The Institute of Korean Studies (IKS) invites applications for the Korea-Europe Programme Postdoc-Fellowship starting in autumn 2020. This four-month position is open to promising young scholars who have completed their PhD degree in the field of Korean Studies with a focus on social science.

Korea-Europe Programme is a new project starting in 2020 to train the next generation of experts in Europe on affairs related to Korea, led by FU Berlin-IKS and supported by KDI School.

The project is designed to offer educational opportunities to strengthen in-depth knowledge and skills that include a broad spectrum of all aspects of Korea and enable a career in academics, business, media, international organizations and interculturally-oriented institutions. The project is composed of diverse and innovative educational programmes such as a summer school in Korea, prestigious scholars' special lectures, well-experienced experts' forums, and specific skill-focused workshops.

Fellows are expected to conduct their own research related to the Korea-Europe programme and contribute to the project by doing an active role. Excellent proficient in spoken and written Korean and English are required. Highly skilled in spoken and written German is preferred.
