Ben Miller Awarded First Prize in the 2025 Tiburtius Prize

At the 2025 Tiburtius Prize, the top award (1st Prize) was granted to Ben Miller of Freie Universität Berlin, Global History,  for his doctoral dissertation titled “In Search Of Lost Time: Primitivist Homomythopoetics and the Self-Invention of the White Gay Man.” 

In his work — supervised by Margrit Pernau — Miller examines cultural-theoretical narratives around queer identity, body images, and self-conceptions, providing a critical analysis of how “white gay men” construct personal and collective identities. Read more about the Tiburtius Pice 2025
