- Offers for Students from Other Departments
Inter- and transdisciplinary or complementary modules are often part of a Master's program. Students may choose one or more modules which complement their chosen profile areas via interdisciplinary content. This creates an extended yet coherent qualification profile. The obligatory amount of credits you need to collect in this area throughout your Master's studies varies accordning to the relevant program regulations, though it usually lies between 10 and 20 credit points.
- One can enroll only in complete modules that are listed in the program and examination regulations (in their current forms, respectively). Single courses (outside of the context of modules) are not available for enrollment as they do not offer credit points.
- One should communicate with the lecturer or person in charge of the module prior to the start of courses to ensure that one's participation is possible.
- As the enrolment cannot be administered through Campus Management, you must fill out the form for 'Modulanmeldung' and hand in the original (which must be signed by the teacher of the course) at the Office of Academic Affairs before the deadline for course registration.
The modules will subsequently be booked through Campus Management (is possible) so that the evaluation can take place directly via CM. In case the enrollment via CM is not permitted, we will send you an e-mail detailing the further procedure with regards to the module.
*ATTENTION:Only limited capacity is available at the Friedrich Meinecke Institute (FMI) for History.
If you would like to take modules at the FMI, please submit your application to the Student Office by September 30.

You can then select the desired course(s) in the CM yourself and take part in the regular allocation process during the registration period. If you did not get a place in the winter semester and there are still places available, you can inquire about this at the Student Office at the beginning of the lecture-free period and, if applicable, register for modules here for the summer semester.
If you wish to enroll in a module at a different department, please continue reading section 3.
