Inter-/ Transdisciplinary and Complementary or Related Areas in Master Programs

The inter- and transdisciplinary or complementary area is often part of a Master's degree program.

Students choose one or more modules from other (Master's) degree programs that complement their specialist studies with interdisciplinary content. The selected modules provide an extended but self-contained qualification profile.

As a rule, students in the Department of History and Cultural Studies must complete between 10 and 20 credit points. The exact regulations can be found in your study and examination regulations.

You decide for yourself which modules you take, provided the subjects that offer agree to your enrolment. Please note that there are certain quota agreements for some subjects/modules. You can find all the information here.

The interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary area cannot be booked via Campus Management. The registration procedure depends on the area of study from which you wish to select modules. You can find all the information here.
