Most of the institutes of our department (and most MA programs) are housed in the "Holzlaube" (Fabeckstraße 23-25), a newly constructed building with a common library (Campus Library). Holzlaube, together with the "Rost- und Silberlaube", is part of the largest university building complex in Berlin-Dahlem which also houses several humanities and social science departments as well as the largest university canteen and a number of cafés.

The department's Historical and Art Historical Institutes and library are located in a separate building (Koserstraße 20), a 10-minute walk away. This building is also home to the MA program Global History.
