Lectures and events at the university

Regardless of your study programs, there are numerous lectures and events on a wide variety of topics every day at Freie Universität and other universities and institutions in Berlin—and they are always free of charge. Many of them are in English. Take a look at the following websites or subscribe to the newsletters:

• Dahlem Humanities Center: As a hub for humanities research at Freie Universität Berlin, the DHC publishes the DHC Weekly, which provides an overview of current events in the humanities—lectures, conferences, readings, film screenings, etc.—organized by university institutions. The DHC Weekly is published every Friday (except during term breaks) and lists the events of the upcoming week as well as a preview of the subsequent one.

Cinema

During the semester, CampusKino FU Berlin shows several films every week—usually in the original language with subtitles (“OmU”) and at low prices—sometimes even free of charge.
