Campus Card and Semester Ticket
Two important cards for your everyday life as a student: the campus card (student ID) and the semester ticket (for public transport)
Campus card
The Campuscard is a physical card that you should always have with you. It combines our student ID with the dining hall card and the library ID, all in a single card. You can:
- Check out library materials using the Campuscard
- Use lockers
- Load credit balances and pay at dining hall registers
- Pay fees at the University Library
- It also proves your student status outside of university, so that you can receive discounts, for example.

Semester Ticket ("Deutschland-Semesterticket")
With the Deutschland-Semesterticket, you can use public transportation and many long-distance trains in Berlin and throughout Germany. You pay for the ticket automatically with your semester fee. The ticket is made available to you only eletronically as a mobile ticket via the S-Bahn Berlin app.
