Als zweiten Band ihrer Dokumentation des Turoyo-Dialekts von Midyat (Miḏyoyo) legen die Autoren nunmehr das Glossar vor. Es enthält den gesamten Wortschatz der in Band 1 (Jastrow/Talay 2019) publizierten Texte. Alle lexikalischen Einträge sind mit vollständigen grammatischen Angaben versehen und durch einen oder mehrere Beispielsätze illustriert. In Untereinträgen werden Formen, syntaktische Konstruktionen und idiomatische Ausdrücke dargestellt, die von einem Haupteintrag (Lemma) abgeleitet sind. Ferner umfasst jeder Eintrag Angaben zur Etymologie. Verbaleinträge sind unter der Wurzel eingeordnet, die einzelnen Verbalstämme folgen als Untereinträge. Ein Verzeichnis flektierter Verbformen im Anhang erleichtert das Auffinden der betreffenden Verbwurzel im Glossar. Im Anhang findet sich außerdem eine deutsch-aramäische Wortliste, mit deren Hilfe man aramäische Wörter nach ihrer Bedeutung suchen kann. Da das Glossar auf die im ersten Band veröffentlichten Midyat-Texte beschränkt ist, umfasst es nur einen kleinen Teil des Turoyo-Wortschatzes. Es ist jedoch so konzipiert, dass es als Nukleus eines späteren umfassenden Lexikons der Turoyo-Sprache dienen kann.
The authors now present the glossary as the second volume of their documentation of the Turoyo dialect of Midyat (Miḏyoyo). It contains the entire vocabulary of the texts published in Volume 1 (Jastrow/Talay 2019). All lexical entries are provided with complete grammatical information and illustrated with one or more example sentences. Forms, syntactic constructions and idiomatic expressions derived from a main entry (lemma) are presented in subentries. Each entry also contains etymological information. Verbal entries are categorised under the root, the individual verbal stems follow as subentries. An index of inflected verb forms in the appendix makes it easier to find the relevant verb root in the glossary. The appendix also contains a German-Aramaic word list, which can be used to search for Aramaic words according to their meaning. As the glossary is limited to the Midyat texts published in the first volume, it only covers a small part of the Turoyo vocabulary. However, it is designed in such a way that it can serve as the nucleus of a later comprehensive lexicon of the Turoyo language.
