Event Overview:
This roundtable explores the place of theory in the study of Arabic literature, with a focus on the comparative practices within the Arabic/Islamic tradition. The discussion will also address the ways in which the Arabic literary tradition has been integrated (or not) into the field of comparative literature and how Arabic can contribute to a more inclusive and nuanced understanding of comparative literary studies. This roundtable stems from our shared academic interests and collaborative projects.
