Changing Concepts of Religion from Traditional to Modern Chinese

The project is being funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) since 1 August 2020. It is conducted by Prof. Dr. Christian Meyer together with Dr. Eugenia Werzner and Richard Ellguth, MA.

Within the project two international conferences have been held so far:

Performed in cooperation with the Cluster of Excellence "Temperal Communities. Doing Literature in a Global Perspective" in June 2021 under the title "Transforming Communities of ‘Spirits’ and ‘Souls’: The Term Ling in Religious, Medical and Secular Literatures in Premodern and Modern China (and East Asia)"
