Introducing the KDI-FU Korea-Europe Programme

News vom 28.01.2020

We are delighted to announce that Korea-Europe Programme starts in 2020, which is for training the next generation of experts in Europe on affairs related to Korea.

The project is designed to offer educational opportunities to strengthen in-depth knowledge and skills that include a broad spectrum of all aspects of Korea and enable a career in academics, business, media, international organizations and interculturally-oriented institutions. The project is composed of diverse and innovative educational programmes such as a summer school in Korea, prestigious scholars' special lectures, well-experienced experts' forums, and specific skill-focused workshops.

For the first event, we are honoured to have Professor Dr. Chung-in Moon's special lecture on the present inter-Korean relations. It will take place on 13 February in the Institute of Korean Studies. He is a Special Advisor to President Moon Jae-in of South Korea for Foreign Affairs and National Security. He is also a Distinguished University Professor of Yonsei University, Krause Distinguished Fellow, School of Policy and Global Strategy, University of California, San Diego, and co-Convener of the Asia-Pacific Leadership Network for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (APLN). He is currently serving as the editor-in-chief of Global Asia.

We are also grateful to inform the policy paper writing workshop will be followed sometime in February or March.
