On Tuesday 02 December at 6 p.m. re:work will host the book launch of Rana P. Behal’s monograph One Hundred Years of Servitude. Political Economy of Tea Plantations in Colonial Assam.Rana was one of our first fellows and has been a frequent guest over the years. The book presents a hundred-year history of tea plantations in the Assam (Brahmaputra) Valley during British colonial rule in India.

In addition former Fellow Ravi Ahuja will introduce the book and discuss the topic with the author and guests. Later on we invite to a small reception.
