The workshop Ancient Egyptian Antiquities and the Global North – Difficulties, Challenges and Opportunities from Different Perspectives brings together scholars and professionals to critically reflect on the circulation, collection, and study of Egyptian cultural heritage. Through interactive discussions, participants will address three central themes: provenance and collection history, cooperation with source countries, and the role of private collections and future perspectives. The aim is to exchange experiences, identify challenges, and develop ideas for fair, sustainable, and collaborative approaches in working with Egyptian antiquities.

Organised by Ana Sofia de Carvalho Gomes
