Examination authorization

According to §32 i.V.m. § 33 BerlHG, examinations may be assessed by persons who possess at least the qualification to be determined by the examination or an equivalent qualification.

In principle, university lecturers within the meaning of Section 45 (1) sentence 2 number 1 as well as full-time teaching staff who are authorized to teach independently and lecturers are entitled to conduct examinations.

At the Department of History and Culture Studies, all persons who are entrusted with teaching duties are also authorizted to conduct the corresponding module examinations during the course of study.

In principle, theses are to be supervised and assessed by university lecturers in the subject area. Under certain circumstances, research assistants, guest lecturers and/or external persons may also be appointed. No. No examinations may be taken after the end of the contract. The examination authorization ends when the contract ends. Only outstanding documentation may still be entered after your departure. For further information, please contact the Office of Academic Affairs.
