"Critical Concepts in the Humanities and Social Sciences" 
International workshop initiates cooperation between the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (Qatar) and the Freie Universität Berlin 

A new cooperation between the Freie Universität Berlin and the Doha Insitute for Graduate Studies (DI) - initiated and developed by Prof. Dr. Islam Dayeh - begins with a joint workshop in Doha on 18 - 20 February 2018.
Scholars from both institutions will investigate “Critical Concepts in the Humanities and Social Sciences”. The workshop is jointly funded by the Center for International Cooperation of the Freie Universität (CIC) and the DI. 

As of September 2018, students from both institutions will be able to spend a semester or two abroad for study and research, with the aim of developing this into an exchange program in the following year. 

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies was founded in 2014. It is playing a leading role in promoting the humanities and social sciences in the Arab world, focusing on social sciences, humanities, public administration, development economics and conflict and humanitarian studies.
