In 2018, Arabic Studies and Semitic Studies present a joint lecture program in the framework of the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften, this time around the world of fairy tales, magic and demons. The "Schreiberschule" offers the opportunity to immerse oneself in the written and spoken worlds of the Bible, Babel and Qur'an from Arabic and Ethiopian through Hebrew, Phoenician and Syriac to Akkadian.
