As you may know, classes begin in the third week of October, in winter term 2025/2026 on October 13, 2025.

If you arrive before the end of October

If you are still able to arrive in October, please keep the following two points in mind:

1. Some instructors may remove students from their courses if they do not attend the first one or two sessions.
2. In the winter semester, students may miss a maximum of three weekly sessions per course (85% attendance). Missing more than this means you will not be able to complete the course.

Course registration is done online via the campus management system, which you can access from all over the world. We therefore recommend that you choose and register for your courses before arriving in Germany.

In special cases, such as serious health issues, students may ask their instructors whether they can submit an additional assignment to make up for missed classes. If you arrive after October 12, we recommend that you contact your instructors once you have selected your courses, explain your situation, and ask whether they would allow you to make up the missed sessions.

If your arrival is delayed for a longer time

If your arrival is delayed for a longer time, you may not be able to complete courses during the winter term. However, please don’t worry — our program does not require you to complete a minimum number of courses each term. If it turns out that you can only join from the summer term onwards, this will not be a problem.

You may also want to check the course catalog to see whether there are any English-taught courses offered online. And please rest assured — you are not alone in this situation, and you will also have the option of taking more courses in the following semesters if you wish.
