Every semester, we have been organizing special lectures on North Korea to feature the diverse research achievements of North Korean Studies.
Lecture abstract:
His current research examines how the atomic age intersected with the postcolonial culture in North and South Korea, and more broadly how science, technology and infrastructure shaped the global Cold War.
About the lecturer
Derek Kramer is a Lecturer in Korean Studies at the University of Sheffield specializing in the cultural and intellectual history of science in the Cold War. He has appeared in publications in the International Review of Social History, Journal of Asian Studies, Gender & History, and positions: asia critique.
