2025 International Conference of Northeast Asian History Foundation - Traversing Korean History: Ideas of the World, Exchange and Perception in Travel Narratives

We are pleased to invite you to the international conference “Traversing Korean History: Ideas of the World, Exchange, and Perception in Travel Narratives,” which will take place on October 30–31, 2025, at Freie Universität Berlin. The sessions will be held in the Seminar Room, Otto-von-Simson-Straße 11, 14195 Berlin.
Jointly organized by the Northeast Asian History Foundation (South Korea) and the Institute of Korean Studies at Freie Universität Berlin (Germany), this conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and promote interregional perspectives in Korean–European scholarship, with a particular focus on history. Scholars from diverse fields will gather to share insights, challenge conventional narratives, and explore connections across historical contexts.
We look forward to welcoming you in Berlin and to an engaging exchange of ideas.
