Korea Europe Center - Korea Competence Week 2025

Organized by the Korea-Europe Center at the Institute of Korean Studies, Freie Universität Berlin (FU-IKS)

The Workshop Series “Korea Competence Week 2025” offers graduate students and PhD candidates the opportunity to strengthen their academic expertise and political competence in the field of Korea-related research and policy.

Over the course of the program, participants will take part in thematic workshops addressing contemporary issues concerning both South and North Korea. The sessions are designed to enhance intercultural understanding, build practical skills for policy engagement, and provide hands-on training in policy paper writing and strategic dialogue.

Complementing the workshops, a field trip to key policy-related institutions in Berlin will give participants valuable insights into the practical dimensions of Korea-related policy work.
