Prize of the Department of History and Cultural Studies for Gender Studies

Call and award regulations

The Interdisciplinary Forum Gender and Diversity Studies (IFGD) annually awards the Prize of the Department of History and Cultural Studies for Gender Studies at Freie Universität Berlin for an outstanding Magister or Master's thesis in this field.The prize is announced annually in May.

Value of award: 500 €

Application

Applications are open to all Magister and Master graduates who graduated in the past two semesters, i.e. between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019, and whose thesis has been assessed as very good.

Right of proposal

All academic members of the department are entitled to make proposals, as a rule the supervisors of the Master's thesis. Self-application is also possible and wellcome.

Assessment

Doctoral members of the IFGD will review the submitted works. If necessary, other doctoral members of the Department of History and Cultural studies may also be consulted.

Award

The Prize of the Department of History and Cultural Studies for Gender Studies at Freie Universität Berlin will be awarded during the semester closing ceremony of the department in the summer semester.
