Dr. Mona Kareem
Mona Kareem is an Assistant Professor of Arabic Literature at the University of Maryland. She is the author of three poetry collections, a literary scholar, and a translator between Arabic and English. She received her PhD in Comparative Literature from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and has taught at Rutgers University, SUNY Binghamton, and Bronx College. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Forum Transregionale Studien and is currently working on her book Good Mothers, Bad Sisters: Arab Women Writers in the Nation.
