Study and Research Bibliography: Chinese as a Foreign Language
Recently, the strongly rising demand for linguistically, educationally and scientifically qualified Chinese language teachers has led to a corresponding increase of scientific questions in the related areas of Chinese Studies, linguistics and educational sciences.
The discipline ChaF (Chinese as a foreign language), in English often TCFL, developing in this context, enjoys large public attention and support in Chinese speaking countries, in Europe however, - which represents one of the substantial target areas of this discipline, - the academic discipline of Chinese as a foreign language is still relatively weakly developed.
The aim of this bibliography (present extent: approx. 1500 monographs, teaching books and scientific articles) is to give a first orientation for students as well as teachers, who are involved with chinese language teachers training or teaching practice of chinese language and culture. It may be used for linguistic, didactic or communication science seminars and theses or final papers.
Although this bibliography already consists of more than 1500 entries, it will never cover all relevant titles in the discipline of Chinese as a foreign language because this area of studies is very complex. But as we want to collect as much relevant literature as possible, and therefore we welcome all suggestions for adding new titles or correcting existing entries.
