"Wisdom between Practice and Philosophy in 'Kalila and Dimna'" — Beatrice Gründler
AnonymClassic PI, Prof. Dr. Beatrice Gründler presents a paper entitled "Wisdom between Practice and Philosophy in 'Kalila and Dimna'" in the "Early Science in Conversation" seminar at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science.
The seminar series Early Science in Conversation invites experts from different fields and with varied perspectives to examine the ways in which science defines itself and what the history of science is as a discipline. Among other things, participants will reflect on what have been regarded as premodern scientific and proto-scientific practices, their methods, and their techniques. Most sessions take place on Fridays at 16:00–17:30 in an online or hybrid format at the MPIWG (Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschaftsgeschichte), Boltzmannstr. 22, Berlin-Dahlem.
Colleagues are warmly invited to join the first session of the Early Science in Conversation seminar in 2023, courtesy of Maria Avxentevskaya and Stefanie Rudolf.
The session is scheduled on Friday, January 27th at 16:00–17:30 (Berlin time), to welcome Beatrice Gründler (Freie Universität Berlin), who is to present her paper "Wisdom between Practice and Philosophy in 'Kalila and Dimna'".
