Close reading workshop: The Mahābhārata Tales of Kalīla and Dimna – Beatrice Gründler, Florinda De Simini, University of Naples "L'Orientale"

Apr 03, 2019 - Apr 06, 2019

In daily Close Reading Sessions from April 3-6, 2019, our team picks up where we had left off in October 2018: expert advisor Florinda de Simini, Indologist from L'Orientale (Naples University), who in December 2018 started with her own ERC Starting Grant on "Shivadharma – Translocal Identities. The Shivadharma and the Making of Regional Religious Traditions in Premodern South Asia," returns to Berlin to dive back into the Mahābhārata predecessors of the Kalīla and Dimna tales. Special guest is Kenji Takahashi from the University of Kyoto.

Guests are most welcome, please write to Beatrice Gründler in case you wish to attend the workshop: beatrice.gruendler@fu-berlin.de
