The long-term project "Corpus Avesticum Berolinense" (CAB), funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), was launched in 2018 with the aim of creating a new edition of the Avestan texts that take into account their ritual performance on the one hand and the form of the texts on the other and of ceremonies from bygone times does not actually reconstruct, but attempts to present the texts as they were performed in a specific historical context.
Responsibilities:
To support our team, we are looking for a student assistant for
• transliteration of Avestan manuscripts
• XML coding of the manuscripts
Qualifications:
• knowledge of Avestan (at least command of the Avestan alphabet)
• good computer skills
• knowledge of Middle and New Persian are very welcome
• knowledge of transliteration
• precise and reliable work as well as the ability to work in a team
