The first Intellectual Encounters of the Islamicate World Alumni Conference has taken place in Berlin from Wednesday, August 23^rd to Friday, August 25^th, 2017.

The conference has been hosted by Freie Universität Berlin and was made possible through the generous support of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (through DAAD) and the German Federal Foreign Office. It featured panel discussions and lectures on diverse topics by former and current professors as well as workshops by students. From presenting a current research project to discussing the experiences of being part of the program and the future of trans-disciplinary online-teaching: a wide range of topics are being covered.
