John Schlesinger studied Law at the Law School of the European University Viadrina (Frankfurt/Oder) as well as Ancient Studies at Freie Universität Berlin focusing on the history of ancient jurisprudence and the history of science. John currently concludes the MA curriculum in "Ancient Near Eastern Studies" at Freie Universität Berlin. In addition, he follows a second MA course in "War and Conflict Studies" at the University of Potsdam. His MA thesis investigates "Development aid as an element in security strategies (with case studies of the Southeast Asia (ASEAN) and Balkan regions)".
