Prof. Dr. Beatrice Gruendler, Professor of Arabic Language and Literature at the Seminar for Semitic and Arabic Studies, was awarded the Berliner Wissenschaftspreis 2019 for her excellent research on Arabic literature and for her contribution to a sophisticated discourse on Arab-Islamic culture, said Berlin's Governing Mayor Michael Müller.
