From April 19 to 21, Columbia University New York will host the "The Cultural Turn in Arabic Literary Production" conference celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Journal of Arabic Literature. Dr. Refqa Abu-Remaileh, Principal Investigator of the project PalREAD – Country of Words: Reading and Reception of Palestinian Literature from 1948 to the Present, which is sponsored by an ERC Starting Grant, will present a lecture on "Twists, Turns and Trajectories of Palestinian Literary Production" in Panel 3 "Exile, Identity, and Engagement in Arabic Literature".
