This course is aimed at students with previous knowledge of Modern Hebrew and is designed to practise the comprehension of spoken Modern Hebrew sources (e.g. from radio and television). Selected examples, such as news broadcasts, will be prepared with vocabulary lists and analyzed and discussed together in class. The course will be taught in German and Hebrew.

Previous knowledge of Hebrew of at least one year of study (Hebraicum) is desired.

Registration takes place directly with the instructor in the course. The course cannot be registered via Campus Management; however, it may be counted with 5 credit points (workload of 150 hours including preparation and follow-up) as a subject-related additional qualification in the ABV area. A confirmation of active participation will be issued by the instructor at the end of the semester and must be submitted to the relevant program coordinator for recognition. Students from other universities in Berlin and Brandenburg are very welcome to attend the course, but are kindly asked to register as secondary students of the FU.
