2000 – 2003 doctoral scholarship awarded by the DFG for the Research Training Group „Intercultural Communication in Cultural-scientific Perspective“ at the University of Saarbruecken (Germany).

Since September 2004 member of the DFG-Research Group „Self-Narratives in Transcultural Perspective“and research assistant at the Department of History in Hamburg. Research project about „Self-Narratives of Christian Conversions in the Holy Roman Empire and the Netherlands during the Confessional Age (17^th / 18^th century)“.

Dissertation about conversions from Judaism to Christianity in the 17^th and 18^th century; PhD in November 2006.
