Studies of Medieval and Modern History, German Literature, and Romance Languages in Kiel (Germany) and Murcia (Spain).

2000 – 2003 doctoral scholarship awarded by the DFG for the Research Training Group „Intercultural Communication in Cultural-scientific Perspective“ at the University of Saarbruecken (Germany).

Since September 2004 member of the DFG-Research Group „Self-Narratives in Transcultural Perspective“and research assistant at the Department of History in Hamburg. Research project about „Self-Narratives of Christian Conversions in the Holy Roman Empire and the Netherlands during the Confessional Age (17th / 18th century)“.

Dissertation about conversions from Judaism to Christianity in the 17th and 18th century; PhD in November 2006.
