Visa information
Visa applications from Iran for short-term stays of up to a max. of 90 days in Germany (Schengen visas) should be sent through the Visametric website. All information about the submission of the visa application is available on this page.
Please note that you can apply for the visa at the earliest three months before the date of your travel. Based on the information we have received, the waiting time for an appointment is currently (Jan 2019) 6 weeks. Thus, applicants should register and apply for the visa when the appointments are scheduled to be given for the beginning of June. As we do not know how long the waiting times will be in the summer, we suggest that applicants check for waiting times independently and regularly.

Arrival by plane
Please note: before using the public transportation system purchase a ticket at the ticket counter or machine for transfer from the airport to the hotel. The ticket varies according to the price zones and is valid for max. two hours going one direction.
Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL)
From Flughafen Tegel (Airport) please take Bus 109 (Direction S+U Zoologischer Garten via Kurfürstendamm). Get off at U Jakob-Kaiser-Platz and change to U7 (Direction U Rudow). Gett off at U Fehrbelliner Platz and change to U3 (Direction U Krumme Lanke) and gett off at U Dahlem-Dorf. Walking distance from U Dahlem-Dorf to the conference venue: 300 m.
Bus and Subways operates in frequent intervals.
Travel time: approx. 30 min / price zone AB: €2,80.
Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (SXF)
From Flughafen Schönefeld Terminal (Airport) please take S45 (Direction S Südkreuz Bhf), get off at S Köllnische Heide, change to S46 (Direction S Westend) and get off at S+U Heidelberger Platz and then change to U3 (Direction U Krumme Lanke) and get off at U Dahlem-Dorf. Walking distance from U Dahlem-Dorf to the conference venue: 300 m.
Alternative way: From Flughafen Schönefeld Terminal (Airport) please take Bus X7 (Direction U Rudow) and get off at U Rudow, change to U7 (Direction S+U Rathaus Spandau) and get off at U Fehrbelliner Platz, then change to U3 (Direction U Krumme Lanke) and get off at U Dahlem-Dorf. Walking distance from U Dahlem-Dorf to the conference venue: 300 m.

Arrival by train

From Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Hbf) takeplease take Bus M41 (Direction Sonnenallee/Baumschulenstr.) and get off at U Hallesches Tor and then change to U3 (Direction U Krumme Lanke) and get off at U Dahlem-Dorf. Walking distance from U Dahlem-Dorf to the conference venue: 300 m.
