Two workshops organized by the Institute for Ancient Near Eastern Studies and the Institute for Near Eastern Archaeology at the Freie Universität Berlin will take place on May 7 and May 20. They are dedicated to the materiality of clay tablets and their practical handling.

Led by Carmen Gütschow (curator), these workshops will provide both an introduction to the physical properties of clay and a hands-on exploration of the techniques and procedures involved in the production and preservation of clay tablets.
