A session within the research colloquium of Arabic Studies, Prof. Dr. Beatrice Gründler.
This colloquium session offers a non-expert forum to exchange experiences and ideas, and hold an open discussion about best-practice models and critical assessments.
How are we using AI tools just a few years into ChatGPT and other recent developments? Are we using them constructively and critically? In what contexts and how? What are the recent developments and possibilities regarding AI use for our field? How has it been used in our research, how in the teaching at our institute? And what consequences does the use entail, for Arabic Studies as a philological discipline, as a field of research into language, literature, and culture? And in which direction is Arabic Studies, as part of the humanities, evolving with regard to these new circumstances?
Please join in person or online via WebEx, students or guests also from neighbouring institutes are especially welcome.
