kalimat welcomes proposals for entries that introduce and analyze literary concepts. Since we are interested in a broad understanding of literature within the Arabic tradition, the key concepts we aim to include encompass literary practices, institutions, and terms related to “adab,” and terms denoting genres and aesthetic phenomena and from the fields of rhetoric, poetics, linguistic theory, as well as material textual practices.
