Frederic Krueger arbeitete zehn Jahre lang, von 2015 bis 2025, am Institut für Ägyptologie der FU im DFG-Langzeitprojekt „Database and Dictionary of Greek Loanwords in Coptic“, ist 2018 an der FU summa cum laude promoviert und 2026 mit der nun prämierten Habilitationsschrift „The Angel of the Topos. The Cult of the Altar-Angels, Coptic Literature, and the Eucharistic Culture of Late Antique Egypt“ an der FU habilitiert worden.
