Extended Examination Advice

You will find extended examination advice (periodic advice for students who have exceeded the regular study time by two semesters) at Koserstraße 20, office A.193.

  • Office hours: Tuesday 11am - 1pm and Thursday 12.30 - 2.30 pm (no telephone enquiries during the office hours)

  • Telephone enquiries: Tuesdays 9am - 10am (phone: +49 30 838 55818)

Beside consultation hours, the Extended Examination Advice can be contacted via e-mail at pruefungsberatung@geschkult.fu-berlin.de. Direct advice is given by a Prof. or PD from the respective institute. Afterwards, the documents completed in the consultation are submitted to the extended examination advice office (office for academic affairs).

  • Office hours of the Associate Dean for Academic Programmes Prof. Dr. Jörg Klinger: during the semester Tuesday 11am - 12pm, office: A.186.

You can, of course, also post your documents in the post box outside office A.193.

We contacted you? Your status, documents and checklists for consultations in the respective subjects can be found using your personal login data at the following address: https://pruefungsberatung.geschkult.fu-berlin.de/.

If we have not contacted you or you are not coordinated by our department (i.e. your 1st main subject is not located at the Department of History and Cultural Studies) but nonetheless require a consultation in one of our subjects for your re-registration, you will find the required checklists here.

Many questions can be answered simply by clicking on the FAQ.

Important note:

You have been asked to attend an interim examination or final examination consultation despite having already taken the interim examination or completed the application for the Magister’s examination? If this is the case, please send us a copy of the certificates or confirmations. No further examination consultation is then required (in most cases) and your re-registration stoppage will be cancelled by the registration office.

Please observe the notices!
