Documentation of Processes
Documentations of processes depict the progress of business processes in graphic and/or written form. In the field of academics and teaching such depictions are used to
-
increase transparency
-
preserve certain knowledge unattached to individual people
One makes the following three distinctions:
-
Governing processes which are involved in the planning and coordination of core processes and supporting processes (e.g. appointment procedures, goal agreements)
-
Core processes in Academics and Teaching which concentrate on the creation of various services for students (study, teaching and consultancy offers)
-
Supporting processes which aid the core and governing processes by providing resources and infrastructure (service processes: e.g. libraries, teacher evaluations)
