BabMed talk by Principal Investigator M.J. Geller, ISAW NYC: "The Formation of Cultural Memory: Ancient Mesopotamian Libraries and Schools and Their Contribution to the Shaping of Tradition and Identity"
Prof. Markham J. Geller, Principal Investigator of the BabMed-research project, will be one of the speakers of a one-day workshop taking place on 8 April, 2016 at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW), New York University. The workshop is convened by Assyriologist Prof. Beate Pongratz-Leisten (NYU) and discusses the topic of "The Formation of Cultural Memory: Ancient Mesopotamian Libraries and Schools and Their Contribution to the Shaping of Tradition and Identity".
Prof. Geller`s talk is based on the research carried out in Berlin and will deal with "Medical catalogues, archives, and libraries as reflections of canonicity".
